About Us

As part of the larger Failte Group, Failte Produce Ltd came online in 2012 when we took over an ailing fruit and veg business. Within a couple of years we had relocated the business to a state of the art facility in Glasgow’s Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market. It was here we invested heavily in our prepared vegetable manufacturing facility and by 2016 the operation was running at full tilt servicing restaurants, businesses, schools and hospitals 7 days a week throughout Scotland and her islands.

Over recent years Failte Produce has kicked on and made it our goal to establish direct relationships with growers and farmers throughout Scotland and beyond. The number of direct links continues to grow and it allows us to emphasise the importance and necessity for quality along with ensuring environmentally sustainable farming practices are upheld. Over a short time a direct correlation has been identified between environmentally sound farming practices and a superior quality of produce.

Failte Produce has achieved a great deal in it's relatively short history, not least the recovery from a devasting fire in 2017 which destroyed our premises. In less than 2 years we are back to where we were in revenue and customer base as well rehousing the entire operation alongside our sister company, Failte Foods.

Failte Group Retains AA Standard in BRC Storage & Distribution

The Failte Group have achieved a AA grade BRC Storage and Distribution accreditation for the second year in succession.

Anyone familiar with the British Retail Consortium’s audit knows the depth to which all working practices are examined. To that end our systems and processes were put under the microscope to ensure the integrity of our product is maintained throughout the process of Storage & Distribution.

Customer confidence in our products and practices is further strengthened by maintaining the high standard, along with increasing awareness of BRC being the bench mark in accreditation across the Food Service sector.

Intrinsic to our continued success is Irene McLaughlin – our inhouse BRC officer. Between Irene and her able team they manage to implement and sustain working practices that underpin our top grade.
